JOB DESCRIPTIONRole : Legal OfficerLocation : DubaiRole Purpose:The lawyer is responsible for managing activities /legal issues allocated to external lawyers plus responsible for following up with the lawyers until finalize these activities and to achieve legal targets. Reports to legal manager Key Accountabilities of the role are the main responsibilities of the team

1. Following up filing execution cases and issuance of all attachments & court orders against tenants to push them for settlement or for full payment.
2. Following up the rental cases & Civil suits under litigation, and guiding the external lawyer until final judgment.
3. Keep records of all information about the legal processes.
4. Understand and constantly evaluate behavioral billing and risk assessment.
5. Establish, maintain and analyze performance measures, tracking and reporting lawyers and legal agent performance .
6. Initiate and participate in training program for legal team to improve their skills
7. Follow-up and maintenance of all legal cases and performing all duties in accordance with MPM & ADIBs policies and procedures.
8. Coordinate with external lawyers regarding legal actions to be taken against non co operating tenants / customers
9. Co ordinate and follow-up up on rental/ civil cases submitted with the external lawyers
10. Provide management with all reports related to legal
11. Regular visits to all law firms
12. Implement and monitor key controls to manage legal process efficiently
13. Ensure that all the legal process are in compliance with established policies and procedures.
14. Provide the legal & collection team with necessary guidelines & advise
15. Discuss with the legal team the issues they are facing with the lawyers or others & find solutions.
16. Provide update on the results and performance of the legal team and discuss the main issues facing by the team
17. Ensure a conducive and professional working relationship with legal and collection team
18. Identify and propose skills, capabilities and resources required for the acquisition of the team target.Specialist Skills / Technical Knowledge Required for this role:
19. Wide working experience in banking and commercial law for 13 years
20. Strong knowledge of market and industry characteristic and trends.
21. Deep knowledge in UAE law and central bank regulations
22. Deep knowledge in the collection practices in the local market
23. Strong business acumen
24. Problem analysis and problem resolution skills
25. Achieving legal/collection goals and targets
26. Strong interpersonal and communication skills
27. Strong ability to multitasks and to work under pressure
28. Strong management leadership skills
29. Stay in contact with all department levels
30. Evaluate and Coordinate development of the collection department .Previous experience:
31. 2 years relevant experience in Banking & law firms
32. Bachelor of Law
