BECO Capital Hiring for Head of People & Culture Job at Dubai Full Time

BECO is a top decile TVPI UAE based early-stage fund with $450M AUM across 3 vintages that is growing exponentially to build a global platform that invests in cutting edge tech globally. We’re a team of entrepreneurial digital natives who have invested in 55+ startups across a wide range of sectors, including all 3 of MENA’s unicorns.

We’re building a team across two cities and are seeking a strategic and entrepreneurial Head of People & Culture to lead the people function and work closely with senior leadership and the wider team on recruitment, employee development, engagement, and retention. The role will be based in our HQ in Dubai (preferred), or London (our second entity) with frequent travel to Dubai. Please learn more about the role below!

Responsibilities

• Partner with senior leadership on strategic business needs including organizational structuring, resource planning, and people management practices to drive retention and employee engagement throughout the employee lifecycle.
• Develop and implement best-in-class tech-enabled recruitment & HR practices enabling BECO to attract world class talent in a timely manner.
• Develop and evolve compensation and benefits frameworks to attract and retain top talent for BECO as we scale across geographies.
• Develop and implement internal policies in line with BECO’s employee conduct standards.
• Ensure that the company complies with employment labour laws and professional standards for all HR-related processes in the UAE & UK.
• Develop and implement best-in-class performance review processes and learning & development programmes to facilitate personal/professional growth.
• Manage & build out the People team as appropriate.
• Provide regular reporting on employee engagement, retention, and recruitment.
• Develop BECO’s company culture, values, and employee value proposition to drive continuous connectedness in a physical & hybrid working environment.
• Design and implement programs that drive behavioral change to improve overall organizational performance and employee’s holistic wellbeing at work.

Requirements

• 5-7 years of professional experience in fast paced environments within VC or tech startups.
• Has experience building & implementing scalable, tech savvy recruitment and HR processes.
• Has experience with compensation & benefits frameworks, employee policy frameworks, performance review frameworks, and L&D plans.
• Has experience coaching/advising leadership on people management and has built and managed a people team.
• Has experience designing programs to drive company culture for a highly engaged, high performing, close knit team.
• Familiar with UK & UAE employment labour laws.
• Has experience measuring success in metrics using software for overall function and company reporting and is process driven and digitally native.
• Has strong written and verbal communication skills, is a strategic business leader, an excellent people manager with high EQ, and is adaptable and resilient.
