The InterContinental Hotels Group® properties in Dubai Festival City consist of four hotel brands. Your day to day

This role, reports directly to the Director of Sales, InterContinental Hotels and as the Associate Director of Sales (Government & GCC), you will lead and manage IHG Dubai Festival City’s GCC & Middle East sales force, develop market strategies in collaboration with DOSM and Revenue department and customer focus. You will also be responsible to achieve hotel revenue, room night goals in the corporate and leisure market segments as laid down in the Hotel’s annual Integrated Business Plan (IBP).

• Drive Total Revenue (Room, C&B, F&B) and sell to new, existing and prospective customers considering goals set forth in the sales strategy, negotiating optimum rate for the benefit of the business.
• Establish and implement hotel’s short, mid and long term strategy in conjunction with DOSM, Revenue team, Hotel Managers and other stakeholders involved.
• Inspire, lead and manage Government & GCC sales team by establishing a strong ‘Drive for Results’ culture, communicating a set of goals and targets and providing frequent feedback where necessary to manage performance to its optimum.
• Interact with clients through organized meetings, entertainments, fam trips, site inspections, trade shows, sales trip visits and through any other form to grow the hotel’s business.
• Establish and lead the IHG Way of Sales Culture in the departmental section and ensure Sales Standards are in place.

What we need from you

Ideally, you’ll have some or all of the following competencies and experience we’re looking for:

• Minimum of 2 years experience in the service industry and Sales & Marketing environment.
• Good communication and administrative skills
• Ability to be self motivated, organized and demonstrate good team work
  
• Fluency in Arabic and English
• Computer literacy (Microsoft applications)
• Opera, Delphi
• Pro-active approach, and the ability to meet deadlines
• Proven account base in KSA and Qatar
