Trade Marketing Plan

• The position is responsible for building a strong trade plan for each Retailer and each channel.
  • Brick & Mortar & Free Standing Formats
  • Turn the marketing plan into a detailed animation and promotional plan by Retailer, including product launches and special events.
• The position owns the trade plan securing the Brand strategy focus areas (Categories, Hero products etc.).
• Responsible for building a strong Top door Trade plan/calendar for specific selected doors and follow up on results.
• Conclude the Trade campaign analysis with inputs from Field team and the different available tools (BI etc.) and report results to Brand Manager and other applicable stakeholders.
• Responsible for in-store events planning and execution.
• Share trade plans with Corporate Sales team so Corporate team can follow up on the target setting and results.

Retailer Support

The key POC within the brand team for all retailers.

Supports Key Account Managers and E-KAMs in preparing Retailer and retailer.com discussions, in particular regarding the promotional calendar and the Trade and Visual Merchandising execution

• Leads monthly retailer meetings
• Keeps aware of Retailer expectations and opportunities
• Collects feedback from Sales Executives on the quality of the Trade Marketing and Visual Merchandising execution
• Contributes to Retailer discussion material preparation
• Drives innovation and continuous improvement on Trade Marketing and Visual Merchandising for the brand
• Understands competitive landscape and trends in markets and competition, informs brand and commercial team on competition activity to develop mitigation plan
• Measures performance of Trade Marketing actions and strives for spend optimization

Brand Building

• Localizes where possible marketing materials to ensure relevance and suitability.
• Planning and executing Retailer events calendar.
• Briefs and monitors execution in close co-ordination with Visual Merchandising (timing, quality, cost).
• Ensure equipment and collateral are ordered by distributors/retailers and that optimum stock levels are maintained (in conjunction with SEM’s).
• Preparation of photo-reports of launches, promo activities and counter openings.
• Spends time with Store Design and VM team in the field ensuring proper implementation of merchandising guidelines including store visits within UAE and travel to other markets if required

Financial

• Reviews P&L on a monthly basis with the marketing & brand team and manage trade budget lines.
• Planning and monitoring of budget for GWP’s, Displayers, POS and VM material (e.g. glorifiers).
• Responsible for giving valid forecast inputs ensure forecast is aligned with trade plan focus.
• Create shopping cards and follow up (for own responsible areas).

Customers

• Builds relationships with business partners and key customers, follows up on promotion efforts, keeps informed on sales force needs and assists sales management as necessary to ensure all programs are implemented to their best advantage.
• Cooperate with Product Marketing and Consumer Marketing in supervising new product launch strategy.
• Ensure presentation to field force and retailers on timely basis.
• Conducts regular store visits to monitor brand activity versus competitor, roll out of marketing campaigns and to understand top doors.
