We are currently looking for an ‘Intern’ for our Taste & Wellbeing Regional Consumer and Sensory Insights team in the Dubai Media City office. The role will report to the Consumer & Sensory Insights Manager for the Middle East & North Africa region and work at least 4 days a week and 8 hours a day for 6 months; the role is also flexible to be split into multiple hours across the 5 weekdays if needed. Start date – ASAP.

You will learn and support the Consumer & Sensory Insights team for exciting Sensory Insights project activities. In this exciting role, we can offer you:
As a Sensory Insights Intern, you will support sensory projects for a broad spectrum of product categories, i.e. snacks, dairy, beverages, savoury, and sweet goods. You will be responsible for supporting various facets in sensory areas, including:

• Assist our sensory studio development and resource management.
• Support the recruitment of sensory expert panellists and discrimination tasters.
• Prepare essential materials for sensory training and evaluations, such as sensory language descriptors and references, samples, palate cleansers, and tablets.
• Manage sensory data collection and fundamental analysis via dedicated sensory software.
• Upload sensory final reports or outcomes into our digital library.
• Ensure that good hygiene and standard cleanliness are in place for sample preparation and serving to panellists and tasters.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams: technical, marketing, commercial, and innovation.
• Support other administrative tasks when required.

You?

• Currently studying or recently completed a Bachelor’s in sensory science, consumer science, food science, food technology, chemistry, or psychology.
• Already residing in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
• Have your own valid UAE Residence visa through the university, parent, spouse, or other valid arrangements.
• A passion for the food and beverage industry.
• A team player and comfortable with diversity.
• Strong organisational and project management skills.
• Proficient in the English language.
