Our client is a global leader in the energy commodities and trading sector and one of the biggest players in the world. Due to the recent success of projects and growth across their international offices, they’re now looking for a Business Application Specialist to manage all maritime operations and platforms.
Working alongside key senior stakeholders, responsibilities as an Application Specialist will include:
- Requirement gathering from senior stakeholders across the logistics, shopping, credit, finance and trading teams to define how maritime operation systems are used internally
- Configure the main maritime platform (Veson IMOS) ensuring it meets business requirements
- Hands-on engineering and development of the platform
- Identify and drive improvements and innovation
As a Business Application Specialist, you will ideally have the following skills/ experience:
- Strong core knowledge of maritime operations systems such as Veson IMOS or similar
- Proven experience with application administration, configuration, reporting and integration
- Proven experience working with SQL
- Familiarity with Agile methodology
- Have excellent and clear English communication skills
- Ability to build rapport quickly with senior stakeholders
This is a hybrid role and ideally you will already be based in the UAE.
