You will be working as a Channel Manager Distribution and will be the part of Electrification Business Area for Smart building & Smart power Division based in “Dubai, UAE Africa”. In this role you will be reporting to Marketing & Sales Manager SP/SB UAE, Sub Region and you will be responsible to develop and maintain a highly effective sales channel strategy in specified market (global/regional/local) in order to improve ABB market penetration and realize growth aspirations. Plan and ensure execution of business area/division sales strategy to achieve both qualitative and quantitative targets for assigned channel in a profitable way: orders, revenues, growth, margin, market share, sales productivity, and customer satisfaction.

Your responsibilities

• Defining and implementing the channel sales Strategy and budget and following up regularly and provide channel strategy input to the sales team for harmonizing the sales and marketing plans. Define and achieve key targets such as volume, prices, mix for the specified market and ensuring the business plans are in place.
• Selling of products like soft starters, contactors, relays, motor management systems, molded case circuit breakers, miniature circuit breakers, air circuit breakers, enclosures, automatic transfer switches etc. focusing on the profitability targets and volume mix.
• Work closely with stakeholders during the sales process and generating demand as well as converting the demand to measurable orders to achieve the targets for the year and contribute in critical sales and key frame agreements and negotiations. Supporting channel specialist in offer and proposal stage.
• Coordinate with channel specialist in identifying and evaluating channel partners and authorizing them to coordinate with the sales management team. Manage annual performance assessment activities for channel partners.
• Coordinate sales and marketing efforts and pricing policies which requires channel segment partner participation. Drive appropriate communication, promotion and training activities in the channel segments and liaising with the product marketing team.
• Specific focus enabling business on digital platforms, rollout of E-commerce initiatives in joint co-operation with regional, global teams of different divisions. Provide training for channel and ABB personnel on marketing analysis, market segmentation, demand creation techniques, channel models and cost structures, effective channel program development and channel metrics.

Your background

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or electronics Engineering.
• Overall 10- 15 years of marketing & sales experience with minimum 10 years experience in UAE within low voltage switchgear distribution business – Electrification portfolio
• Candidates must have experience in leading and managing the sales team.
• Experience in sales force and Microsoft excel with knowledge about e- commerce.
• Proven leadership and management skills.
• Energetic, self motivated, and disciplined individual.
• Taking full ownership of the assigned roles and responsibilities.
• An important team player and proven ability to work in cross functional and multicultural organization.
• Effective presentation skills at various levels of customer organization, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence both internally and externally.
