PURPOSE

• The role purpose is a brief description of the position’s main functionality
• DevOps Engineer will be responsible for building and setting up new development tools and infrastructure. Work on ways to automate and improve development and release processes.
• Manage existing systems/applications their updates & fixes. Perform root cause analysis for production errors,
• Investigate and resolve technical issues.
• Ensure that systems/applications are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats.
• Identify technical problems and develop software updates and ‘fixes’
• Work with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended.

• Assists business & IT team on release management in-line with the change-managed process.
• Deploy updates and fixes with no or minimal downtime
• Provide Level 2 technical support
• Provide incident report and resolution report.
• Build tools to reduce occurrences of errors and improve customer experience

PEOPLE MANAGEMENT

Will require strong planning, and written and verbal communication skills.

• Will require experience interfacing with business teams and the ability to make suggestions and influence decisions.

PRODUCT / PROCESS IMPROVEMENT

Develop and maintain standardized operating procedures and artifacts including Solution / Integration design documentation, tools, templates, and supporting information.

• Establish automated processes, workflow, and reporting capabilities to drive the quality and efficiency of services.

EDUCATION AND TECHNICAL CERTIFICATIONS

Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related Engineering subjects

• Minimum of 3 years in DevOps engineer role on AWS environment.
• Overall 6+ years of development experience, the operations team
• Experience with software engineering, customer experience
• Experience developing engineering applications for a large corporation__
