Overview / Responsibilities:
Wood is currently recruiting for Senior Pipeline Designer to strengthen our team in Dubai
- Carry out assigned pipeline design work as part of a multi-discipline project team
- To provide discipline specific design and drafting services that meet the Project and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements
- Assume responsibility for the Pipeline design/drafting scope for the project
- Develop cost effective pipeline design and drawings
- To coordinate with other disciplines for interdisciplinary checks
- Display a working knowledge of industry standard drafting practices, good mechanical aptitude and general knowledge of engineering
- To prepare pipeline route studies, desktop studies based on survey inputs
- To prepare Pipeline Overall Route Maps, Key Plans, Alignment Sheets, Station Approach drawings Alignment sheets, pipeline typical construction drawings, etc. in accordance with project specifications, international cods and standards
- Preparation of Pipeline Detail / Bulk MTO
- To carry out detailed high quality site visits, pipeline route surveys and associated data collection
- Preparation of Piping input Drawings for On-plot / off-plot interface Areas at Process Plant
- Coordination with Topographical Contractors and Site personnel for preparation of AFC Alignment sheets
Skills / Qualifications:
- Diploma qualification or HND in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum of 15 years relevant experience in an engineering design company
- Knowledge of site-based project work involving field engineering and construction
- Experience of working with multi-national and multi-cultural project teams is strongly preferred
- Previous experience of working in the Middle East would be an advantage
- Previous Onshore Oil and Gas related Pipeline design experience
- Thorough awareness of International Design Guidelines and Standards
- A determination to continually improve safety in all aspects of plant design and operation
- Familiarity with typical software packages that are used in preparing pipeline design drawings (Auto CAD, Google Earth)
