Womenswear Procurement LeadSILK ROUTE RECRUITMENT is seeking a skilled and seasoned Womenswear Procurement Lead to oversee a significant category valued at approximately $100-120 million. This pivotal role will report directly to the Head of Buying and is integral to our dynamic team.Key Responsibilities:• Formulate and execute the procurement strategies and budget for the womenswear category, ensuring alignment with the overarching business objectives and buying strategies.• Collaborate closely with Design and Development teams to stay ahead of range plans and market trends, ensuring a commercially viable product offering.• Manage buying margins effectively, with a strong emphasis on timely procurement and stock management.• Partner with retail teams to monitor and analyze store sales performance, including sell-through rates and other key metrics.• Drive enhancements in category procurement by streamlining processes and improving margins.• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure optimal sourcing outcomes.• Work in conjunction with the sourcing team to harmonize strategies and operational processes.• Conduct regular store visits, both for benchmarking and to identify areas for improvement within the category.Candidate Profile:The ideal candidate will:• Possess extensive experience in womenswear procurement, preferably within large retail or brand environments in the UK or Europe.• Exhibit a collaborative approach, capable of managing an international team while being open to innovative ideas and methodologies.• Demonstrate a global perspective, with the ability to assess new markets and emerging trends critically.• Be highly commercial and competitive, with a keen understanding of product dynamics and market positioning.• Show strong business acumen and possess a diverse skill set in management within complex organizational structures.We invite qualified candidates to explore this exciting opportunity with SILK ROUTE RECRUITMENT.
