Job Summary
The role holder will define & support driving the domain andprocess consulting capability of the Education sector globally. The role holder will also define differentiated solutions, help andenable opening of new engagements and build the Wipro’s domainservices & consulting business across the industry sector.
Responsibilities
Core responsibilities will include:
- Growth & Margins: Defining a sound business growth strategybuilt on domain & process consulting strengths. Focus on growing thedomain competency to 10% of unit strength with higher billing rates andmargins. Help in creating new business opportunities & New businesswins (Revenue and Order Book)
- Practice Management: Build, mentor and manage a diverse team ofgeographically distributed Education consulting professionals acrossdifferent experience levels, including their goals & objectives,mentoring, career planning etc. apart from project level billing,utilizations and allocations
- Solutions: Identifying & defining differentiated services andsolutions for various process areas within the Education industry
- Competency: Defining & supporting a strongcompetency/capability-building strategy. Own and manage an Academy asthe one-stop enabling environment for aspiring internal and lateralconsultants
- Partnerships: Nurture key ecosystem partnerships in key focus areasbased on product evaluation/due diligence with the objective of buildingknowledge and networks e.g. Trade bodies, practitioner forums, industrynetworks etc. Explore & develop Wipro specific layer/extensions tothe core partner offering.
- Branding: Creating a strong Wipro Market Positioning – increasing Wipro’s mindshare in the industry ecosystem(product companies, analysts and influencers) via thought leadership.

Qualifications Required
- 15+ years of industry experience with the past 5 years being in aconsulting leadership position, MBA from a premier institute is a plus
- Excellent articulation skills and strong executive presence is amust.
- Exposure to IT stack specifically for Education vertical
- Functional expertise in Education specific core processes
- Demonstrated experience of working with Education industry clientele
- Digital technology exposure.
- Experience in one or more of sectors such as New agecompanies/platforms, Publishing, Advertising, Broadcast and Education.
- Experience or strong exposure to software lifecycles includingdefining downstream from a consulting engagement
- Ownership in Solution incubation and IP-creation – preferablyin the Education sector.
- A good mix of experience working in operations and enterpriseprocesses of a technology company
- Good knowledge of the international markets and demand includingmultiple engagements across geographies
- Experience in consultative selling and creating client business casefor value based pitches
Downstream – Oil and Gas
