We are looking for an Operations Manager – Maritime Logistics (NVOCC) to join our company.
In Wilhelmsen Port Services, we provide our customers with piece of mind while we handle their cargo, their vessels and their crew. We handle 75,000 port calls per year, which means that every 7 minutes, anywhere around the world, we send a ship safely out to sea again to fulfil its purpose. We match local expertise with strict global standards, making sure we consistently make our customers’ port calls as efficient and safe as possible.
The Operations Manager – Maritime Logistics (NVOCC) will report to the Ships Agency Territory Manager.

About the position:

To assist the Ships Agency Manager in managing the Port Services ML Operations ; driving service quality and effectiveness and managing resources and processes.

What will you do:

Operational management of NVOCC activities within the Wilhelmsen Port Services global network.
Principal communication to ensure smooth operations within the global network.
Understanding of Operational and Documentation requirements for each location within the global network.
Arrangement of required documentation, reports, information to planners and port locations to ensure smooth operation of NVOCC containers to/from vessels.
Preparation of Cost Matrix’s for local cost & collection within the global network for the understanding of our NVOCC team and also Principal.
Collation of Weekly/Monthly TEU & Revenue reports

Required Skills:

2 to 3 years’ experience in Complete Containers / LCL / Project handling, customer service and project documentation. (AIR / SEA)
Logistics & shipping Knowledge
Knowledge of Microsoft Office
Familiar with Local Port Authority regulations, procedures and governing tariffs.
Ability to multitask and organise under pressure without compromising safety of personnel and vessel.
Good communication skills and command of the English language (oral and written)
Strong mentoring and customer relationship skills.
Self-motivated and result orientated.
Good cost awareness and control
