About the job/role
WildBrain CPLG is looking for a Licensing Manager to join our MENA Sales team! You will develop and strategically grow existing and new business for CPLG’s representation in the MENA region within various licensing categories. You will also work closely with other CPLG regions and Head Office, securing licensees for each property and maximizing retail activity.
Responsibilities
- Be the main commercial contact for your clients within your defined categories.
- Together with regional Commercial Director, set and execute the company’s licensing strategies and review quarterly within the company´s budget process.
- Collaborate closely with other key stakeholders within the business to drive company direction to significantly increase licensing revenue.
- Ensure strict adherence to CPLG’s CRM system (OASIS) as the central information tool for licensor reviews and internal forecasting and business management.
- Conduct business reviews for Licensors and internal CPLG management to consistently high standards.
- Identify, negotiate, and secure suitable licensees, in accordance with agreed licensor strategies.
- Work closely with the Legal team to ensure all team contracts are processed in the most efficient way possible.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with licensees, licensors, partners, and retailers (where appropriate).
- Demonstrate an entrepreneurial spirit looking for new and inspiring opportunities.
- Collection of relevant market information, identifying market opportunities.
- Continuously strive to identify and secure new licensees that have not worked with CPLG looking for new opportunities.
- Providing information to assist in marketing and sales plans.
- Supervising contract and financial realisation.
- Feedback on the progress and outcome of the commercial efforts.
- Visit trade fairs at home and abroad as appropriate.
- Any ad-hoc duties given to you by your line manager to support the needs of the business.
Qualifications
- Outstanding interpersonal and networking skills.
- Keen eye for detail, hands-on approach with a strategic vision.
- An innovative and creative salesperson with proven experience in account management and new business development
- Educated to degree level preferred but not essential.
- Good verbal and written skills in English.
- Good knowledge of MS Office including Excel and PowerPoint.
- Willing to travel required.
