Whitespace Architects Hiring for Resident Engineer Job at Dubai Full Time

The Resident Engineer is expected to liaise with client, the main contractor, and sub-contractors onsite. The RE is to oversee the final phases of the site works across multiple projects. The RE will be responsible for reviewing installation drawings, inspection installation, witnessing, claims, variations, payments, correspondences with client and main contractor, testing and snagging. The RE will be familiar with Specifications and Standards and will be responsible for ensuring the installation maintains these standards.

Key Functions and Responsibilities:

• Implement all WS policies, procedures inclusive of health and safety plans and site supervision manual.
• Acting in the capacity of The Engineers Representative.
• Acting as the Client primary point of contact for WS through project construction
• Acting as the Contractor primary point of contact through project construction.
• Issue Contractual letters and maintain contemporary records
• Issue recommendations on variations and claims. Inc EoT’s
• Administer the Construction Contract
• Lead project progress and Contract / commercial meetings
• Report and present on project performance and progress v/s program
• Collaborate and coordinate with Client 3rd parties (Cost / Project Managers)
• Be fully conversant with WS Project Management procedures
• Coordinate with Project Director for project set up, resource management, internal project close out.
• Prepare project reviews and report on performance
• Manage project close out procedures
• Manage WS Services Agreement in line with delegated authority
• Manage and mentor project team members to ensure satisfactory delivery
• Manage project time, quality, and cost risk

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in relevant professional discipline
• Professional Membership preferred
• 20 years post graduate experience
• Minimum 15 years of experience in the construction supervision of luxury villas & townhouses, malls, and theme parks construction within the UAE

Competencies and Behavioral Skills

• Must be a resident in UAE – Dubai
• Thorough knowledge of Standard Forms of Construction Contracts
• Proficient commercial awareness
• Proficient in writing Contractual correspondence
• Competent at managing large multi-disciplinary engineering teams
• Stakeholder management skills
• Competent user of Microsoft applications
• Must be fluent in both English & Arabic language and the language of the works Contract (spoken and written)
• Must be able to work proactively within and manage multi-cultural teams
• Must have excellent communication skills
