Volvo Bus Middle East, Africa and CIS (MEAC) is a fast expanding area within Volvo Bus Corporation (VBC). It is responsible for both Buses sales and Service sales business, partnerships with Volvo’s own and private importers, key customers, body-build partners and progress of the total bus business in Middle East, Africa and Commonwealth of Independent States. With the development and rapid interest in electro-mobility in many new markets, we are forecasting growth in the coming years.

We are looking for a well-qualified individual to join us as Executive, Business Control, Sales Admin & Logistics.
You have a several years of progressive experience in finance and accounting and are now eager to develop yourself with increased responsibility:

• Be responsible as a business & financial partner to the management team of MEAC and handle all business control functions
• In cooperation with management establish financial plan, forecasts and estimates
• Interact with management and colleagues/peers in regional market units and MEAC as well as external customers, distributors, banks and auditors.
• Support Director, Business Control MEAC in different areas and ad hoc support to rest of MEAC
• Manage Sales Admin & Logistics function.

You will be reporting to Director, Business Control for MEAC as well supporting the MEAC Management team with necessary business & financial information, as & when required to assist them in timely decision making.

Main Responsibilities

• Ensure proper financial month-end closings and reporting is done in cooperation with Financial Control & Accounting (FCA) and other stakeholders.
• Perform deviation analysis of KPIs and provide timely and accurate financial/management information and reports for management on a regular and ad hoc basis.
• Support in preparation of Annual business plan, financial forecast and estimates according to schedule and in cooperation with management. Ensure accuracy on the input.
• Monthly MIS with clear focus on follow-ups on the actuals vs targets and appraise the management on risk & opportunities.
• Managing Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process by defining and following-up on the Optimum inventory pipeline for MEAC.
• Maintain good relationships with FCA and other stakeholders to ensure the day-to-day accounting and finance matters are well managed and coordinated.
• Support and manage the credit process.
• Manage Sales Admin & Logistics function which includes but not limited to managing Customer order process from order intake to invoicing & delivery, co-ordinate with factory & Volvo Logistics team and documents handling.
• Support MEAC in different areas including invoice coding, provision, account reconciliation, inventory reconciliation, credit approval documentation etc.
• Challenge our current ways of working and make changes to drive efficiency and profitability.
• Manage tender submissions using process with focus on risk management.
• Ensure compliance to VBC authorization rules and various policies and procedure.
• Performing due diligence on importers/end customers (as & when required), CSR, Credit Assessments etc.

Critical Competencies and Experience required

• Degree in Finance & Accounting or related disciplines. Candidates with professional accounting accreditation are preferred.
• At least 5 years’ experience in Business Control preferably in Bus or commercial vehicle industry, having worked as business control, business & financial partner
• Ability to work with non-finance colleague and collaborate cross-functionally
• Structured and driven personality with high integrity, strong perseverance and desire to always improve
• Working experience in SAP, VGCS, Analysis for Office, Essbase and Power BI will be an advantage.
• Ability to work independently in a flexible, dynamic and multi-cultural environment and to meet deadlines
• Ability to prepare well researched plans, anchor them with management and execute them on time
• Strong problem solving / resolution skills; solve issues within MEAC in a pro-active and constructive manner, challenge the status quo.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Exposure to different cultures in the MEAC region and ability to work in cross-functional, multi-cultural teams and adapt to different environments and audience
