The Value Added Services Product Development (VAS PD) organization is building a new generation of end-to-end solutions for digitization and mobilization of payment for global market. Within VAS PD, the Client Integration and Solution Engineering (CISE) team is a globally distributed technical solutions team that supports accelerated adoption of new products and enhancement of existing ones.

We are looking for a technically expert Senior Software Engineer for our team based out of the Dubai office, to support the global rollout of mobile products for iOS.

In this position, your primary responsibility is to support clients in their integration journey with Visa SDKs and underlying APIs. Your strong analytical skills, problem solving abilities, coding, testing and debugging skills, along with good communication will help you be our clients’ technical consultant and a go-to resource for all technical questions.

You are also a self-starter, able to observe common client issues and come up with standard solutions for them. You will apply solid coding practices, including testing and thorough documentation, to build client-facing assets like reference applications or self-testing tools.

You will also liaise with various stakeholders, collect feedback from internal and external customers and work cross-functionally to ensure the Product and Technology teams incorporate that feedback into future releases.

This role requires quick troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, multitasking and prioritization, passion for clients and quality, and application of mobile (iOS) programming techniques to design, build, and maintain reference solutions for clients. Deep knowledge of computer science fundamentals, API, mobile, web technologies and multi-tiered architecture is a must. In addition, the candidate must be a self-starter, results-driven, and equipped with excellent verbal and written communication skills to interface with other Visa’s teams & clients.

REQUIRED – ALL

• BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of hands-on mobile product development for iOS (either native or hybrid) and RDBMSes (SQL or NoSQL)
• Experience with web technologies (TCP/IP, HTTP, HTML, JavaScript, CSS), RESTful APIs, JSON and relevant API standards like OAuth, SAML
• Track record of working directly with clients, on requirements gathering, solution design, implementation planning or go-live support
• Experience with Agile development, incorporating CI/DI with technologies such as GIT, Maven, Jenkins, Chef, Crucible, Sonar, Junit
• Strong understanding in all phases of SDLC, security concepts, and various phases in testing – unit, functional, certification, UAT
• Strong foundation in computer science, with competencies in data structures, algorithms and software design
• Desire to build client-centric assets, such as sample reference apps which demonstrate best product (SDK or API) usage, developer implementation guides, developer tips & tricks documents and similar content
• Demonstrated ability to meet commitments in an environment that requires multitasking among concurrent projects/initiatives
• Flexibility to work with distributed global teams

DESIRED

• Experience with backend development techniques
• Familiarity with payment and mobile banking business domains
• Experience using Splunk and production support process
• Exposure to container-based technologies
