Job Description
Perform as second line of defense risk business partner role for CEMEA region and lead Products & Innovation Risk assessment lifecycle through New Business Initiative Assessment (NBIA) Program and in accordance with company risk appetite and risk frameworks. Products & Innovation Risk Director will ensure that the new products or solutions do not introduce unknown risks to Visa and Ecosystem, risk is accurately assessed, and end solution follows Visa’s risk appetite.
The incumbent is expected to own and execute existing NBIA Program within the region. be accountable and own preparation & execution of program improvement roadmaps aimed to improve turn-around cycle and improve risk identification and assessment quality.
This role is based in Dubai, UAE and reports to the Sr. Director, CEMEA Risk Strategy and Operations.
Responsibilities
- Be a Risk Business Partner for other CEMEA Functions and facilitate end-to-end NBIA cycle for CEMEA specific initiatives.
- Coordinate the review of Global NBIAs cycle within CEMEA region with timely guidance to initiative owners in order to complete the risk assessment cycle with superior quality.
- Provide post-review support to initiative owner and other stakeholders to track the fulfilment of risk conditions.
- Work closely with stakeholders to support risk identification, risk assessment, risk treatment and its registry and within process SLA.
- Own and manage preparation of awareness materials and execution of educational sessions within CEMEA on 3 Lines of Defense (3LOD) model and NBIA Program.
- Identify and lead process optimization / improvement activities aimed to optimize turn-around time of review cycle and increase quality of outcomes.
- Prepare and provide regular reporting on process execution to management and other functions.
- Closely collaborate and work with Global stakeholders within NBIA Program execution and improvement work-streams.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
- 10 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree (Finance, Economics or Business Field) or 7 or more years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
- Experience in technology or banking industry with exposure to corporate or enterprise risk management
- Advanced knowledge, skill and understanding in applying risk management practices specifically as it relates risk taxonomies, risk appetite, risk assessment, scoring, mitigation, acceptance
- Strong program management, problem solving and presentation skills
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Detail orientation and strong analytical skills
- Proven ability to develop strong relationships and work with all organizational levels
- Must be proactive, high-energy, motivated team player capable of delivering on multiple initiatives on tight timelines and enjoy a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Knowledge of Archer, IBM Open Pages, and or similar GRC tools.
