Job Description
The Visa Consulting and Analytics Director will deliver consulting support and projects to VISA’s key clients to help optimize clients’ payment cards portfolios’ performance, thereby ensuring that Visa is both their preferred brand and a unique business/marketing partner.
Principle Responsibilities/Key Results Area
This position is key to develop and scale the Credit Risk practice area within Visa Consulting & Analytics across the CEMEA region. The person will report into the CEMEA Head of Risk Service Line and will work closely with the Risk consulting teams in the different markets across CEMEA.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Lead the development of new Credit Risk offerings
- Lead the development of new Risk consulting offerings and standardization and enhancement of existing offerings, with a focus on credit risk domain
- Ideate and support the development of data solutions and other non-advisory offerings
- Collaborate and work with external partners to bring their capabilities into Visa’s offerings
- Participate in development of thought leadership articles, white papers and other means to spread awareness of VCA’s risk offerings
- Work with Practice Areas globally to incorporate best practice, analytical or other relevant services and leverage new global consulting solutions that will grow the practice.
- Support the development of sales pipeline for Risk consulting service line in the region.
- Support sub-regional teams to identify opportunities for Consulting assignments with top Clients
- Support the development of Risk project pitches and secure new Consulting assignments with clients, as well as “re-engagement opportunities” via a consultative sales approach
- Deliver consulting projects. Participate in client delivery work either as delivery lead or as SME on the risk topics, as agreed.
- Manage, facilitate, and implement consulting services and meet client’s business targets (assignment objectives, project scope, budget, paperwork, external consultants’ supervision, and project delivery).
- Operate as an SME on credit risk topic during project deliveries
- Work closely with other VISA groups, including Product, Marketing, Risk, Merchant Services etc., to ensure a seamless Consulting experience for the client
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Master’s degree preferred though is not required.
- At least 10 years of professional work experience with the following profile:
- Deep exposure to Credit risk management topics in consumer and SME banking with focus on enabling (lending) business growth through innovation in credit risk space
- Risk management and analytical experience within the financial services practice of a reputed consulting firm OR within the retail banking unit of a top-tier bank/leading FinTech.
- Experience in management/strategy consulting industry is highly desirable
- Consulting skills and client engagement capabilities including:
- Strong problem-solving capabilities, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor.
- Credibility with clients and working teams and diplomatic skills to extract desired outcomes.
- Avid communicator – Comfortable interacting with and presenting to senior management of clients and VISA. Advanced client communication and presentation skills. Fluency in English language is essential
- Strong experience in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel, with the ability to synthesize data, extract key insights and develop executive presentations
- Superior project management skills demonstrated through experience of managing multiple large client projects
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal guidance
- Previous experience in CEMEA (Central-Eastern Europe, Middle East, Africa) region would be preferrable
- Result-oriented and initiative-taking personality that proactively seeks to generate impact for both clients and within Visa
