We are now looking for a Field Service Engineer – AC Power to join our team in Manama, Bahrain. This is a position created mainly to enable fulfillment of service contract for key account and major client in Bahrain and occasionally outside within EMEA region outside Bahrain.

• Provide routine maintenance services on UPSs and batteries to key customers and major clients in Bahrain and occasionally in the ME&L region.
• Respond to emergency calls and provide corrective maintenance services on site within 2 hours from customer emergency call.
• Provide technical field support to Vertiv customer user in other countries within ME&L on a case by case basis.
• Act as the local Vertiv escalation and focal point for emergency calls and critical support.
• Provide field technical support with drive and focus to resolve technical issues faced by customers.
• Identify, report and escalate service quality concerns, risks, incompliances, training needs, improvements, etc.
• Liaise with technical support team in the region and in factories regarding technical, warranty and quality issues.
• Accurately and timely document & report on all performed service activities PMs & CMs.
• Manage and control spare parts inventory and replenishment.
• Assist in installation and commissioning of new equipment.
• Promote company products, services and spare parts in the form of retrofits, monitoring solutions, charged interventions.
• Become Certified trained engineer and remain up to date in related technologies and products.
• Manage training needs of customers and organize courses accordingly in accordance with Vertiv Academy curriculums and policies.
• Participate in customer meetings / workshops / technical / service review meetings.
• Strictly comply with company safety rules & regulations.
• Wear appropriate PPE as per company guidelines and accordance with job duties.
• Report all work related accidents or injuries within 24 hours to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain individual inventory in accordance with company policy.
• Provide estimated time of arrival to the Customer Response Center where applicable.
• Provide necessary quotations to customers for parts, labor, batteries, etc. when needed.
• Maintain company property according to company policies.

• 5 or more years of experience as field technical engineer for uninterruptable power supplies.
• Proved experience in implementing/utilizing the basics of electrical engineering and power calculations.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and single line diagrams.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Leadership in managing difficult situations and work under pressure.
• Ability to marshal resources to achieve desired results.
• Desirable: Understandings of UPS and power systems, Understanding of Electronics & Work experience with global companies.

Languages:

• English language – excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Arabic language – is desirable, but not must.
