Summary: VES is looking for a Planning and Inventory Manager to join our team in our Dubai, UAE location. The Manager of EHO Planning and Inventory has full responsibility to manage and communicate the Planning and inventory control strategy for VES in the Eastern Hemisphere. This role is responsible for all forecasting activities associated with demand planning, , and inventory management. This role is the integration point into the sales and commercial organization.

This role ensures all appropriate finished and semi-finished goods are replenished on time with the least amount of cost and on-hand inventory while maintaining high service levels and inventory accuracy.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Support the global planning and inventory strategy and own the process for EHO.
• Develop demand plan based on input from Sales, business trends and demand patterns and Identify demand forecast risks and develop effective mitigation plans
• Ensures VES’s order management and SIOP (Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning) demand planning processes and systems are in place across EHO utilizing a systematic, data driven approach.
• Supports Senior Management and executive Supply Chain leadership in annual budgeting planning, development of strategic goals/ KPIs. Monitors department performance to goals, budget and other strategic objectives.
• Owns inventory control programs for EHO
• Lead Demand Review Process / Provide analysis for S&OP Meeting and Statistical model review
• Develops performance metrics, best practices, and leading process and tool improvements that are aligned with the strategic priorities of VES. Guide, educate and drive process improvement with Region Directors in relation to demand planning and inventory management.
• Maintain a constant relationship with the sales, marketing, finance, sourcing, and manufacturing teams to understand the demand forecasting drivers.

Education and/or Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• MBA (or similar advanced qualification) preferred but not required.
• At least 7-10 years of relevant work experience, 5 of which have been in a Drill Bit capacity in the at least 2 of the following Regions: Middle East, Asia, Europe, Africa, including 5 years of demonstrable experience in influential leadership
• Well-developed knowledge of demand planning best practices such as Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning and track record of implementing appropriate forecasting methodologies. Ideally with knowledge of PDC and Roller Cone Drill Bits.
• High level of energy and integrity; hands-on, roll-up-the-sleeves mentality; proactive and driven with a passion and commitment to the field.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and other technologies that may be used to enhance accuracy and productivity. Makes data based decisions supported by excel, Power BI and other tools as needed to demonstrate planning and inventory performance.
