Valtech Hiring for Accounts Officer Job at Dubai Full Time

The position is for a permanent role of Accounts Officer to be based in Dubai with a potential to grow with the operational and geographic expansion of the Company. The person will directly report to the Manager Accounting and Finance with indirect reporting to Director Finance and Operations on as-needed basis. The primary objective of the role is to support the Manager of the Accounting and Finance function in all daily transactions, bookkeeping activities, working capital management and other operating, reporting and compliance activities.

Your Responsibilities:

• Create and send Tax Invoices to clients as per signed contract terms.
• Following up on the completion of agreed payment milestones to the Project Managers for raising timely invoices.
• Ensuring timely delivery and payment of Invoices raised to clients.
• Register on and manage Clients’ Vendor Portals / Vendor Management Systems for submitting proposals, receiving contracts/POs, and submitting online Tax Invoices.
• Maintaining a log of invoices delivered to clients.
• Sharing Statements of Account to all clients on monthly basis.
• Organizing cheque collections and issuing payment receipts to clients.
• Validating bills received from suppliers/vendors and related parties against signed contracts and/or approved time sheets and posting them in Accounting System.
• Ensuring compliance of the bills received from Vendors/Suppliers to UAE VAT Regulations.
• Maintaining records for all Output and Input VAT transactions.
• Assisting in quarterly VAT returns preparation and validation.
• Following up pending bills from suppliers/vendors and related parties against accruals booked.
• Obtaining and reconciling Statements of Account from vendors on monthly basis.
• Posting all Credit Card Transactions in Accounting System on monthly basis.
• Collecting and storing bills for all Credit Card Transactions in the files.
• Managing petty cash fund with validation of petty cash bills to ensure proper authorization and control.
• Assisting in payroll processing by compiling and validating the expense claims submitted by management and the staff.
• Preparing and posting the payroll cheques, list of due supplier/vendors bills and bank reconciliation statements.
• Assisting in month end, quarterly and annual closing by maintaining and updating the schedules of Assets, Prepayments, Accruals and Provisions.
• Assisting in provision of requested information during Audit of Accounts and/or Tax Audits.

What we are looking for in you

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance and/or partially qualified ACCA/CPA/CA.
• 3-5 years of experience working within the accounts and/or finance department of a registered company in the U.A.E.
• Excellent working experience in MS Office and Excel with ability to prepare reports independently or with minimum supervision.
• Excellent understanding and working experience of QuickBooks Accounting Software.
• Good analytical skills and ability to deal with internal and external stakeholders rationally.
• Knowledge and experience of working with local VAT, Companies’, and Labor Laws.
• Good communication skills and experience of working in a multi-cultural environment.
• Reliable and dependable personality with ability to manage the assigned tasks with minimum supervision.
• Flexible towards work schedules and able to meet deadlines.
