About the Position

UOWD is seeking applications from candidates to fill the position of Statistical Data Analyst.

The Statistical Data Analyst provides support in the implementation of a comprehensive set of assessments to support continuous improvement activities at the University.

Key areas of responsibility include:

• Responsible for the survey design, analysis & reporting of university wide surveys including administration of Ministry surveys. Interpret survey outcomes to identify patterns and communicate the insights and recommendations from the survey to relevant units/committees.
• Perform identification, analysis, and interpretation of trends or patterns in complex data sets
• Provide research support for the compilation of recommendations for new programs, feasibility and viability studies, and collate information for planning and accreditation purposes
• Assist in the analysis of quantitative and qualitative data and in the development of data reports

Qualifications

Essential:

• An undergraduate degree in Data/Business Analytics/Economics/Econometrics/Mathematics or in a related quantitative field of study.
• 2+ years’ experience in a similar role
• Must possess strong qualitative and quantitative analysis skills and demonstrated experience with SQL or SAS programming, statistical modelling and forecasting, applying quantitative and research methods.
• Possess capabilities in statistical analysis and modelling which includes hypothesis testing, logistic and linear regression, AND parametric and non-parametric methods
• Ability to analyse large quantities of data to generate and present insights, applying excellent knowledge of SQL, R, Python and Excel

Remuneration and Benefits

The successful candidates will receive a remuneration package which includes an attractive tax-free salary ranging from AED 84,000 – AED 102,000 per annum, 25 working days of paid leave per year, annual air ticket for staff and eligible dependents, private medical insurance for staff and eligible dependents, life & disability policy for staff, professional development assistance, education allowance for up to 3 eligible children and professional development.
