UOWD is seeking applications from candidates to fill the position of Procurement Lead.

Reporting to the Head of Finance the Procurement Lead will be responsible for all procurement related activities from sourcing to delivery at UOWD. This position will be key in embedding value for money principles into daily operational activities to drive efficiencies.

Key areas of responsibility include:

1. Responsible for the day-to-day procurement activities ensuring service levels are consistent with the organisational needs including but not limited to:

• Sourcing vendors, goods and services
• Supplier due diligence
• Negotiation of contract terms including but not limited to price, delivery lead times, payment terms, warranty periods, etc.
• Commercial review of contracts
• Administration of the procurement process from RFQ / RFP to goods receipting
• Establish and maintain effective supplier relations
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with key internal stakeholders
• Liaise with key stakeholders to monitor contract compliance

2. Processes, Systems and Reporting

• Assist the Head of Finance to develop procurement policies and procedures in line with best practice.
• Develop systems and processes to streamline operations enhancing the quality and quantity of outputs, whilst maintaining high levels of internal controls.
• Develop internal reporting to meet multi-stakeholder requirements.

Qualifications

Essential:

• Undergraduate Degree
• 5+ years procurement experience in a large / complex organisation
• Proven track record of reduction of procurement costs
• Solid analytical and decision-making skills

Desirable:

• Education sector experience
• Knowledge and experience in using Oracle

Remuneration and Benefits

The successful candidates will receive a remuneration package which includes an attractive tax free salary ranging from AED 180,000 – AED 204,000 per annum, 25 working days of paid leave per year, annual air ticket for staff and eligible dependents, private medical insurance for staff and eligible dependents, life & disability policy for staff, professional development assistance, education allowance for up to 3 eligible children and professional development.
