The post holder would be programme director MA Education (Learning & Teaching), a postgraduate programme in the School of Education. The post holder would also be collaborative member of the Education team based in Dubai and would contribute to our teaching, research and external engagement activities across our suite of Education programmes. We are developing our research capacity in Dubai and we welcome interest from appropriately qualified researchers with expertise across learning and teaching. We have an extensive network of national and international collaborations and partnerships and we welcome applicants with both regional knowledge and international expertise. Applicants with experience in regional schools are particularly encouraged, although we welcome experience with any international curricula.

Colleagues joining us will be asked to make positive contributions to the advancement of research and teaching at our institution and to engage in community outreach and partnership with schools in the region and internationally.
Teaching is likely to include a substantial contribution to: (a) programme management and development (including programme/module review); (b) delivery of teaching and assessment; and (c) enhancement of the student experience and career development. Management, administration and teaching will involve coordinating and supporting activity on the Dubai campus and with external partners in the region, with extensive collaboration and liaison back to our Edgbaston Campus and with colleagues in the School of Psychology.
The role also requires flexible contributions to the wider university activity. Across all of our activities we encourage academic citizenship, developing and maintaining generous, mutually respectful and supportive working relationships with all staff and students, and ensuring collaborative working relationships.
