Main Job Purpose:

The role of Digital & Automation specialist is responsible to lead on ground execution of Digital transformation initiatives in a factory environment.

Key Accountabilities:

• Work on physical execution of Digital/Automation of Initiatives. This would include working with Site’s production/Engineering Stake holders to execute hardware/software changes on site. Some examples of executional tasks could be ( Execution of changes in PLC programs to support Digital initiatives, Cable laying to provide power/network connectivity, Installation of new sensors/devices across factory)
• Maintenance of existing site’s Digital systems. Some examples of work in this area could be: (Trouble hardware/connectivity problems, Conduct basic troubleshooting of various software systems, Help resolve issues faced by production operators in various applications/system)
• Support Commissioning & training of operators on newly deployed solutions/applications.
• Act as a single point of contact to offer basic troubleshooting for hardware/software affiliated with site’s Digital infrastructure.
• Be responsible to coordinate with vendors and manage orders wherever external services may be required.
• You are likely to be a good fit in this role if you love to get on to execution with hardware/software tools in own hands.
• Ability to develop PC or Mobile application and dashboards IN office 365 apps or any equivalent platform.

Professional skills:

Educational Requirements

• Diploma or above in Electrical/Electronic/Automation/Instrumentation with 3+ Years’ of experience in manufacturing/Automation/Engineering Services.

Others:

• Ability to Communicate/read/write in English language.
• Demonstrated Expertise in writing software program in any programming language (this can be written Computer languages (e.g. C# or Python) OR automation programming languages (Ladder, ST, SFC).
• Understanding of structure/programming of Automation systems, preferably Siemens.
• Basic understanding of Computer networks/IP Addressing/General Network hardware.
• Understanding of Electrical wiring/cabling.
• Ability to read CAD drawings/wiring schematics.
• Very comfortable with Hands on experience to use electrical/mechanical tools.

Required Experience:

• The ideal candidate should have worked for 3+ years in FMCG/ Pharma/ Automotive/Automation/Engineering Services business.
• People who have physically served as Engineering services / Instrumentation / Electrical / Automation technicians would be encouraged.
• Candidates with past experience in writing some software code would be preferred.
• Ability to self-learn from resources over the internet.
