To plan and manage the receiving, handling, storage and delivery of stocks in an efficient way to ensure stock accuracy and quality assurance standards strictly implemented according to space management and company procedures to deliver maximum value and profitability.Team ManagementOrganizes and staffs the team with adequate resources and talent in order to achieve the desired levels of Organizational Excellence.Provides the team with adequate coaching, mentoring and training in order to achieve the desired business results and sustain Organizational Excellence and competitive advantage.Resource planning and utilizationPlans the daily distribution of resources among receiving, storage and delivery operations in order to maximize warehouse staff productivity and storage efficiencyOversees the accurate counting and documentation of all receiving, handling and dispatch of goods respecting FEFO procedures in order to maintain stock accuracy and no discrepancy between physical stock and WMS.Oversees and manages cycle counts in order to ensure accuracy as per SOPsOversees that products are stored in the designated locations according to Company procedures and that the Warehouse damages are reducedControl, Safety, Security & MaintenanceEnsures proper training to reporting staff on implementation of safety and security procedures to eliminate accidents and pilferage and ensure compliance with quality assurance standards.Carries out periodic checks on warehouse building, racking, and equipment to assess maintenance and repair requirementsDeliveryDirects transportation operations including on time dispatching, routing delivery tracking and returns.Monitors fleet time and capacity utilization and ensures delivery routes are fully planned to comply with requested delivery dates.Develops transportation policies and procedures.Communicates with sales team to improve delivery schedules and improve minimum order quantity.Communicates with customers to speed up unloading time and improve unloading processes.Customer ServiceEnsures internal & external customer satisfaction and attends to customer complaints in order to support sales in achieving the company targetExpensesEstablishes & controls a set of KPI’s including trailer hiring, daily labors, picking productivity, Warehouse, delivery routes and fleet utilization in order to manage warehousing costsRecommends plans/ projects in order to optimize storage and delivery costRecommends capital expenditures for acquisition or lease of new equipment and negotiates and improves hired trucks contracts and costing.Requirements:Bachelor Degree in Logistics or similar field7-10 years of experience in similar environmentPrevious experience in fresh food is a major plusPrevious experience in UAE is a plus
