Position Overview

We are looking for a highly driven Sales leader who is passionate about managing teams, achieving sales objectives and contribute to overall organization’s sales goals. Our ideal candidate will be championing the customer experience evolution through data-driven insights and by using a variety of demand-sales inputs

As a Sales lead, you will be a key strategic contributor to offline sales domain of marketplace vertical. You will be responsible for setting the direction for your marketplace offline sales area which will be part of a demand ecosystem. This role is highly cross-functional working closely with category team and also with customer experience, finance, supply chain teams

The successful candidate will have high levels of ownership and responsibility holding the accountability for delivering key capabilities to respond to the needs of the business ensuring that what is delivered meets business goals and objectives. The position is located in our Dubai headquarters and will report directly to the Marketplace Head

Responsibilities

1. Sales Operations

• Candidate should have sales driven mindset and rich past of working in FMCG or FMCD verticals across UAE
• Candidate should have proven capability of handling large sales teams and effectively guide them to become fighting unit to hit organisation goals
• Must be good at Key account management with key stakeholders like Distributors / wholesalers / retail chains / manufacturers
• Should have info/data on existing turnover-business operations of above stakeholders for category
• Expert in calculations of margins / net landing costs at category lines and sku level
• Well verse with brands / skus / ticket sizes at category level
• Should be highly efficient in acquistion and retention of buyers
• Should be able to achieve targets at executive level, category lines level, sku level and overall GMV goals

2. Customer Obsession

• Understand customer needs and business objectives
• Keep records of customer interactions, transactions, comments and complaints
• Resolve customer complaints in coordination with category team
• Meet success metrics set for customer satisfaction
• Should be good at multitasking – sales / customer service / customer relationship / issue resolutions

Requirements and Qualifications

• 8-10 years of experience working in sales / distribution / wholesale out of which recent 3-4 years in sales leader role
• Should be an MBA with extensive work experience in sales/distribution
• Proven work experience as a sales leader across geographies of UAE primarily Dubai/Sharjah/Abu Dhabi
• Proven work experience as a sales leader with a track record of meeting/exceeding annual sales goals
• Proven expertise in handling large sales teams of junior sales executives / able to groom them as future sales team leaders
• Should be proficient in advanced excel knowledge and able to maintain sales reports / data crunching / analysis
• Should understand and speak Hindi / Malayalam / English

Preferred candidates:

• First Preference – Area managers with large sales teams working with FMCG/FMCD/Manufacturer distributors and wholesellers
• Second preferrence – Sales Managers / Team leaders with large sales team working with B2B or B2C e-commerce company in UAE
