The Role
Tradeling.com is a Dubai government funded startup, set up in September 2019 and is operated by Blink Technologies FZCO, headquartered at the Dubai Airport Free Zone, UAE. Tradeling.com is intended to become the dominant B2B marketplace for the MENA region by simplifying and enhancing digital B2B trade through a centralized, digital and safe procurement platform. It offers value added services that will include finance and logistics. Launched in Q1 of 2020, with multiple categories ranging from office supplies, food and beverage, and health and wellness. Position overview Based from our head office in Dubai Airport Free Zone, The Head of Sourcing is responsible for setting up and leading the centralized sourcing function at Tradeling, from designing the strategy and relative processes through to building and leading the sourcing team through to success. The position has overall responsibility for product sourcing from suppliers, wholesalers, discount stores and dark stores, ensuring competitive pricing and preferred commercial terms. Responsibilities • Design the strategy for sourcing encompassing the needs of each Tradeling BU (.Com, edukaan and PRO) and serving as the conduit on all sourcing activities and matters to key stakeholders • Design and execute sourcing procurement processes utilizing best practices that allow the function to operate effectively and deliver top line results • Exhibit strong collaboration with the key stakeholders to understand their requirements, recommend right sourcing strategy, identify suitable vendors, float enquiry / RFP/ Tender, conduct negotiations and finalize rate contract • Develop joint plans with suppliers to ensure appropriate investment budget for enhancing category growth and the return on investment for mutual benefits • Finalize the right mix of supplier/distributors to meet geographical sales demand with periodical review on brand performance and driving vendor relation • Take the lead on vendor onboarding & development – Enable vendor searching and ensure their onboarding. Conducting vendor Joint Business Proposals, Marketplace Management. • Ensure Product Quality – Conduct Root Cause Analysis for all Top Refund SKU’s • Facilitate Manpower Training on Products • Negotiation – Ensure Merch Revenue Generation and PO Based Negotiation • Build strong relationships with the market suppliers to get consistent and competitive prices and excellent service levels • Negotiate pricing and control costs • Identify the fast-moving items which can be sold to Tradeling’s different types of customers • Handle sourcing the items from the market with a special focus on competitive cost price • Keep track of price changes and price comparison with the different market suppliers • Communicate prices changes with the relevant department • Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness • Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand • Attract, motivate and retain a team of sourcing professionals and ensure that a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion is at the forefront of your leadership agenda

Requirements
Requirements • 8+ years of U.A.E experience working in sourcing or purchasing • Proven leadership skills • Proven working experience in vendor management with deep understanding of procurement processes • Outstanding negotiation skills • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills • Strong project management and leadership skills • Fluent in English and Malayalam
