Job Description
JOB ACTIVITIES
- Identify, assess and qualify potential suppliers along with user/HSE departments, including but not limited to anti-corruption and pre-risk analysis
- Identify short and long term risks to the assigned categories, review supplier base and develop action plans to minimize the
- risks/maximize the value to the Company
- Lead and organize tenders efficiently, in-line with the Purchase Plan and complying with the Company’s procedures and defined KPI’s
- Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers to meet quality, cost, and delivery objectives
- Effective use of the Company’s Procurement tools: e-Tendering, Agora, Supplier Evaluation
- Collaborate with Legal & concerned departments to contract selected vendors
- Identify critical suppliers and organize business reviews to evaluate, monitor & improve supplier’s performance
- Prepare KPIs report
- Supplier data base management, re-evaluation of suppliers with user departments
- Build strong relationships with internal customers and suppliers to achieve defined objectives
- Identify opportunities and implement actions to continually reduce inefficiencies from the existing tasks and processes
JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
- The main objective is to ensure that the purchases are made within the budgeted value as per the purchasing procedures listed in the purchasing plan
- Ensure availability of goods and services at all times to the specifiers
- Strict adherence and compliance towards Group Procurement policies (Human Rights, Fundamentals of Purchasing, Anti-Corruption etc.), HSE Charter & MAESTRO requirement and affiliate’s HSEQ Policy, Procedures & specific rules & regulations applicable to the area of activity at all times.
- Demonstrates exemplary conduct, rigor, vigilance, and professionalism regarding HSE in all their activities
- Ensure adherence to compliance processes and guidelines specific to position’s roles and responsibilities.
- Strict adherence and compliance towards Group QHSE policy with high Quality of QHSE performance and complying with affiliate’s QHSE Policy, Procedures & specific rules & regulations applicable to the area of activity at all times.
- Participate in the training program to acquire QHSE knowledge and impart this training to colleagues as and when required by Management.
- Reporting of near misses, incidents, hazards & injuries to line Manager within the time frame as required by Quality, HSE, Energy policies and Manuals.
- Participate in the investigation and analysis of incidents as and when required.
Context and environment
- The position is an important link between the users and suppliers for key goods and services requirements
- Requires very high commitment to ensure supply of goods and services as it involves activities which directly impact the affiliate operations.
Candidate profile
Qualifications / experience required
Knowledge:
- Experience in ERP system is an advantage (preferably SAP). Proficient in MS Excel and reporting tools.
Skills:
- Interpersonal skills including high collaboration with others, effective negotiation, written & oral communication. Possess good leadership, management skills, and performance management capability. Must be analytical, structured, and able to influence change.
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in purchasing, sourcing, and preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Education:
- Minimum Bachelors degree, preferably from the following disciplines: Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement and Supply Chain Management
