This post sits within the Middle East, Türkiye, Africa, Pakistan & South Asia Government Relations (GR) team and will be responsible for supporting the successful execution and day-to-day operations of our projects, programmes, partnerships and stakeholder engagement in the Middle East, North Africa and Türkiye in alignment with the GR subregional leads. This role reports into the Head of GR for the Middle East, North Africa and Türkiye.
The candidate will be at the heart of our business operations, helping to drive the team forward. S/he must have experience in the areas of project and partnership management and execution as well as proven organizational skills. A demonstrated interest and/or experience working with stakeholders in government as well as non-governmental organizations, international organizations and academia is desired. The candidate should be a highly flexible problem-solver with strong communication skills enabling her or him to work alongside a diverse set of stakeholders both internally and externally. S/he will also be required to demonstrate the ability to work independently and with agility in a dynamic, fact-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Strategic Programs and Initiatives Management
– Lead and/or support key programs, initiatives and engagements that feed into the top regional policy priorities in alignment with MENAT GR subregional leads; this involves key events, roundtable discussions with experts, onboarding of key entities and organizations onto our channels among other responsibilities.
– Support the development of narratives to drive impactful partnerships addressing key policy priorities in MENAT;
– Support engagement with key stakeholders in MENAT to advance TikTok’s key policy priorities;
– Coordinate individuals and processes to ensure the timely delivery of high quality programs, partnerships and initiatives;
– Work with the wider GR team and across functions on projects and initiatives in line with TikTok’s global direction;
– Develop reports, presentations, executive summaries, project documents, correspondence and project monitoring and evaluation mechanisms concerning specific projects, programmes and engagements in alignment with the MENAT GR subregional leads.
Qualifications
Qualifications
– A minimum of 5 years project, partnership and relationship management experience; marketing and social media platform experience preferred
– Familiarity with/knowledge of the political and regulatory landscape in MENAT is preferred
– Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, particularly in the form of project management documentation in English (Arabic and/or Turkish strongly desired)
– Experience supporting and managing cross-functional projects and programs
– Proactive, ‘can-do’ attitude with the desire to learn and develop further;
– Ability to work flexibly and as part of a team in a rapidly growing and evolving business environment;
– Highly competent using project management tools;
– Ability to work independently with exemplary time and task management skills
