The Opportunity
We are looking for a Vice President – Investor Services / Transfer Agency to join our Funds Team as part of our financial services business in Dubai.
Established in 2008, our Dubai office is the Maples Group’s regional operating hub in the Middle East. Key Duties:
The Vice President – Investor Services / Transfer Agency is a varied and wide-ranging role. This includes, but is not limited to, the following:
- Will be responsible for a portfolio of clients, reviewing offering and subscription documents for current and new business, providing operationally relevant comments.
- He/she will manage client-related administrative functions, liaise with investors, investment managers, directors, lawyers and other third party service providers in various international jurisdictions and will coordinate the client acceptance/onboarding processes.
- He/she will ensure compliance, risk and operational policies are adhered to, identify and assist with training initiatives and general project work as required.
- He/she will be expected to demonstrate strong leadership and organizational skills combined with in-depth technical knowledge in a challenging daily environment.
- Successful candidate will ensure that staff has sufficient support and guidance needed to deliver tasks accurately and on time.
- He/she will proactively identify gaps in internal controls and work with the wider RTA group to mitigate exposure to risk while driving a risk awareness culture within the department, promoting a zero error policy.
Requirements
In addition to indisputably high ethical standards and autonomy, the ideal candidate possesses the following:
- The successful candidate will have a detailed understanding of all forms of investment fund structures, a comprehensive knowledge of relevant local and international laws and regulatory requirements as well as direct experience in managing a team of registrar and transfer agency administrators
- He/she will have experience of industry-recognized share registrar and transfer agency software systems and series, partnership, private equity and equalization methodologies
- He/she must also have a thorough understanding of anti-money laundering requirements and relevant regulatory requirements including FATCA and CRS reporting
- The successful candidate will have a minimum of seven years’ relevant experience in registrar and transfer agency services, with a minimum three years’ of supervisory experience.
