Job Description:
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Receive and follow up on day-to-day maintenance calls given by the Maintenance Manager.
- Report the summary of work carried out for individual guest rooms and common areas including all used spare parts and accessories.
- Carry out general maintenance as per schedule provided by Maintenance Manager for Air Conditioning system and chillers.
- Repair and maintenance of Split AC, Window AC, and Package units including replacement of spare parts like condenser coils fan motor, blowers, and brazing work.
- New installation of Air conditioning system for new locations.
- Modification and troubleshooting for any related to the Air conditioning and Refrigeration systems such as refrigerators, coolers, and deep freezers.
- Provide assistance to the team whenever requested for any issues to complete the project smoothly and safely.
- Contribute to the guest satisfaction standard by ensuring that technical support is provided quickly and ensures the safety and comfort of the guests.
- Ensure the quality of completed work by both employees and external contracted staff adheres to the standard of good engineering practice.
- Study for consumable spare parts for rectification and repair instead of replacement within limitations for saving and safety considerations.
- Undertake preventive maintenance works for all machinery and equipment associated with refrigeration and air conditioning as prescribed by manufacturers and/or as required to maintain the standards of the resort’s operation.
- Undertake corrective maintenance works on all machinery and equipment associated with refrigeration and air conditioning as required to ensure guests’ satisfaction.
- Always ensure prompt and efficient customer service by adopting a proactive approach to dealing with guest complaints.
- Ensure proper implementation of the Standard Operating Procedures related to his/her sections so as to ensure consistency in the delivery of excellent service.
- Ensure that the workshop premises (plant, machinery, workshops) and surroundings are always kept in a perfect state of tidiness.
- Strictly observe all environmental statutory requirements and promote environmentally friendly policies and practices.
- Log all information related to preventive and corrective maintenance actions on all equipment.
- Ensures Occupational Safety & Health Act, local health and safety codes, and company safety and security policies are met as well as the maintenance of safe work practices and observance of safety rules and precautions.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor or engineering managers.
- In case of fire or any other emergency, the Ac and Refrigeration Technician should be present with the team to assist the Emergency Team.

- Certificate in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience working as an HVAC Technician in a 4/5* hotel.
- Friendly, polite, and courteous nature.
- Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to respond to a range of various work situations.
- Be fully conversant with all health and safety and hygiene procedures.
