Job Purpose: JOB PURPOSE Lead the strategic development of enterprise IT strategy, architecture, and operating model for the Emirates Group in close collaboration with the business. Manage the strategic portfolio for IT, including strategy development, partner/supplier and contract management, portfolio management, architecture management and IT enabled business innovation. JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES 1. Lead and drive the development and governance of IT’s vision, mission, goals, and strategies in alignment with the Group’s overall strategy while seeking to mature agile ways of working within IT 2. Lead and drive the development of the IT operating model, selecting relevant quality, and operating frameworks (e.g., SAFe, ITIL, TBM etc and identify new and develop existing capabilities that will support the achievement of the IT vision, mission, strategy. 3. Identify high impact strategic change programmes for IT which contribute significant value in terms of operational impact, risk mitigation and business development. 4. Provide leadership and governance to the Portfolio Management of application and infrastructure portfolios, ensuring alignment with business strategy and that projects are monitored, tracked, and reported against IT business performance in terms of delivery, support, unit cost and ROI. 5. Drive the development of an ecosystem of strategic partners that enables the delivery of innovative, cost effective and high-quality business solutions and services. Develop and lead the IT partner and supplier strategy for Emirates Group managing all aspects of the supplier lifecycle to ensure partners deliver to strategic goals. 6. Deliver long term value through the implementation of all layers of Enterprise Architecture for all IT systems, infrastructure, and solutions. Ensure that the delivered architecture designs are in alignment with the Enterprise Architecture principles and meet practical business needs. 7. Directly manage all external audits conducted on IT for Emirates Group and have direct accountability for maintaining regulatory compliance and quality assurance for Emirates Group with respect to IT to international standards. 8. Define, execute, and manage a 3-year IT organisation development and workforce planning strategy, lead the development and implementation of an IT people engagement strategy, aligned with HR policies and practices, and drive the development of IT skills and capabilities through the management of the IT skills academy and the development of the UAE National programme. 9. Run It-as-a-business, overseeing the functions that govern the areas of technology business management, IT performance, IT space management, commercial and contract management, IT administration services and complex billing. 10. Lead the IT innovation Hub and the innovation programme of the Emirates Group sourcing IT innovations globally and intersect them with business problems and challenges to implement technology-led innovative solutions. Establish close relationship with academia to ensure Emirates Group stays at the forefront for technological innovation. Collaborate with other Dubai-based entities in support of the overall vision to promote the city as an innovation and technology hub.
Qualifications & Experience: Qualifications: Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) Post Graduate Qualification i.e. MBA with specialism in strategy development and execution Experience: 15+ yrs experience in varied IT functions at a senior level in a large multinational corporate company, ideally in the travel/transportation industry Experience of having driven and led IT strategy and architecture Experience in managing innovation in a large corporation and working with an innovation ecosystem Experience in developing strategic partnerships Knowledge/skills: – Trends in the technology and aviation sector – Business/technical strategy and planning – Enterprise architecture – Business change management – Design thinking and ideation – Relationship management – Thought leadership Leadership Role: Yes Safety Sensitive Role: No
