Job Purpose: Manage and implement the digital technology strategy ensuring alignment with the business strategies of client stakeholders, and in synergy with the strategies and plans of Corporate Communications (CC). To invest agreed advertising budgets via all online media to help meet designated brand and business objectives. This includes overseeing the allocations and management of a group of brands internet spend per annum to help meet each brands marketing objectives within the Group. Job Outline: – Brand Management Manage and implement the digital technology strategy ensuring digital solutions are on-brand, integrated, cost-efficient and aligned with the objectives and plans of CC’s team business clients This involves the management of websites, banner, interstitial, eyeblaster development, online media placement, sponsorship and third party opportunities. – Corporate Identity Manage and monitor in conjunction with Manager Advertising, PR, Sponsorship( Specialist team) and VP Shared Services the protection, development and rollout of the brand strategy across all online customers touch points. This includes the development and evolution of brand and advertising guidelines, dissemination to, and engagement with, our agency partners and staff, approval of all brand usage across the full gamut of online media, including web kiosks in Airports, Inflight environment, internal portals, corporate offices and retail outlets. – Integrated Communications To work closely with all Corporate Communications teams to ensure synergy and consistency of Emirates Group image and strategy across all communication disciplines. To encourage the integration of advertising campaigns across client brands to enhance the impact, cohesion and cost-effectiveness of communication. To particularly work closely with Sponsorship, Events and Public Relations to ensure Group sponsorship opportunities are maximised online. – Online champion To work collaboratively with the Manager Account, Account Manager and Specialist teams to drive use of online media channels amongst a designated brand or regional cluster. Develop an ongoing training programme for the stakeholders to assist the increase internet knowledge and confidence with management of online activities throughout the department. Help Manager Digital Communications (MDC) in implementation of the Group’s content management system across a group of websites, ensuring brand teams and selected agencies are trained in the system and manage their own updates. – Managing Cost Effective & Creative Advertising Resources Contribute towards sourcing and appointing internet agencies for all online work, in co-operation with the business unit – Budget Control Compile an annual internet budget plan for each brand within the ‘cluster’ and to provide monthly updates on committed and planned spend plus end of year reconciliations to the business unit and MDC. To ensure agencies have submitted media plans and cost estimates for all projects in good time and that these commitments are captured by P&L staff for a monthly summary to MDC. – www.emirates-empower.com Play an active part in developing the dept. website ‘ www.emirates-empower.com ‘ to ensure we tap into world class agency resources at competitive prices. To use EmPower and other tools to evaluate and measure advertising agency performance on regular annual basis, in order to optimise effectiveness of Emirates’ advertising across the network. To suggest new procedures, champion agency usage of the site, trouble shoot bugs, add new layers and functionality as appropriate. – Media Planning Develop online media plans for each client cluster and continually push the online media, via Return on Investment and effectiveness case studies with teams and all agencies in the Group network. Monitor competition on an annual basis, corporate campaign initiatives and media innovation online ensuring that the Group implements best practice. – Online advertising effectiveness Initiate online advertising effectiveness studies, via Mercator, the brand team and interactive agency roster in order to build knowledge of best practice and support MDC in ongoing Return on Investment discussions and presentations. – HR Manage and coach direct reports, guiding them to improved performance through continuous training and development. To deal with staff issues as they arise offering solutions and support. To ensure that staff undertake training as identified in their personal and professional development plans. Coach, guide and monitor the team on visual design issues so that the overall calibre and performance of the team meets corporate expectations and requirements.
Qualifications & Experience: Marketing & Media Communication.Internet Communications : 8+ Years Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) : Experience as an Account Manager in an international interactive agency managing offline marketing activities. Knowledge/Skills: Expertise in production of quality Online development, understanding of different programming languages and how they affect web build as well as the user experience, experience of content management systems and campaign tools.
