Job Purpose: Produce creative copywriting, including creative concepts, corporate and commercial copywriting, proofing and editing, for all Emirates Group brands, across all platforms including print media and digital media, within the parameters of the brand and communications strategy. Job Outline – Devise and produce innovative copy to meet the objectives of the diverse range of communications delivered by the Emirates Group brands. Co-ordinate with specialist and functional teams to interpret the brief, understand the objectives and deliver the message through effective copy. – Proofread, critique and edit internal and agency copy for grammatical errors, sense and style. Monitor and quality check all digital and print copy. Review and update copy through rewrites or edits to improve reader engagement, ensuring it meets the brand guidelines and achieves the project objectives. Work with the Senior Copywriter and relevant teams within Corporate Communications to initiate projects to edit or rewrite copy for style, tone, grammar or to improve readability where deemed necessary. – Work with the Senior Copywriter to develop and lead the standards and house style of content and copy across the Group brands. Define how the company represents itself through language and ensure that copy guidelines and templates are maintained. Guide, advise and influence specialist teams on copy style, tone, and presentation for readability by providing subject expertise in copywriting for print, online and mobile mediums. – In conjunction with internal stakeholders, collaborate with the creative team and team managers to drive improvements in readability to ensure messages are received effectively through copy and presentation. Work with team managers and account managers on site maps, website page layouts and document structures where relevant to best deliver the communication. – Develop and maintain partnerhips with key business unit staff within Corporate Communications and the wider organisation to ensure that project development updates are communicated. Ensure that commercial deadlines are feasible given available resources, and that contact reports are maintained. – Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of new trends and best practices within the communications industry. Develop a good understanding of not only the designated areas of the business but also of the evolving needs of the business across the Group to ensure the highest standards are maintained. – Co-ordinate with teams within Corporate Communications to integrate advertising campaigns, media relations and promotions activities to enhance the impact, cohesion and cost-effectiveness of the communication. Ensure that communications specific to one brand benefit from distribution in a suitable format through other branded channels such as emails and websites.
Qualifications & Experience: Experience – More than 5 years of Marketing, Media Communication and Advertising Education – 12 Years schooling or equivalent Knowledge & Skills – Degree in a discipline related to communications would be advantageous – Experience in copywriting, marketing, media or digital communications – Exceptional English verbal and written communication skills – Demonstrable creative writing skills, editing and proofreading across print, video and digital mediums – Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word – Knowledge of content management systems a distinct advantage
