The Economist Newspaper Limited Hiring for Freelance Event Manager – COP27 Job at Dubai Full Time

The Event Manager will be responsible for the project management and operational delivery of events produced by The Economist Events.
This position reports into the Head of Operations and reports days to day to the respective Senior Event Managers. You will plan, coordinate and control the activities and operations of event projects.

Accountabilities:

• 1.1 Project Management of COP27
• Responsible for the development and overall management of high quality events to agreed briefs, meeting financial budgets
  and ensuring the team stick to strict deadline and deliver excellent events
• Provide regular updates on all your projects to line report Head of delivery, Dubai
• Ensure project plan and event meeting schedule is always up to date and communicated with client regularly
• Create, maintain and monitor individual budgets for all events that you are directly responsible for, working creatively to
  maintain cost control and quality of event, including identification of and negotiating with venues, suppliers, contractors etc.
• Liaise with the marketing team, sales team and event programming team in order to keep event projects on track
• Ensure the smooth execution of event production and logistics, including preparation of all event materials, planning and co-
  ordination of events programme – location of rooms, exhibition, refreshments breaks, signage etc.
• Liaise with speakers management team to ensure speaker logistics are on track
• Manage VIPs and senior stakeholder relationships in a courteous and professional manner
• Make travel and accommodation arrangements of on-site team
• Attend events as required
• Manage and direct staff and team members to ensure successful event delivery
• Ensure good working relationship with clients
