Full Description
We are seeking a Senior Piping Designer who can fulfil the role requirements in the Projects Team for conceptual, front end and detailed engineering design. This is a one-year residential contract position based in our client’s main office in Dubai.
Experience
- 10 years within oil and gas industry
- Production of 3D layouts
- Offshore Survey
- Preparation and development – key Piping drawings in accordance with job specifications
- Design with consideration to efficiency and economy
- Material Requisitions
- Material Take Off’s
- Coordination / participation / preparation of offshore survey including offshore reports
- Participation in the checking / preparation of discipline deliverable such as:
- Isometrics
- Layouts
- Pipe Supports
- Schedules
- Construction aid’s Offshore Survey
- Liaison with Lead Designer / Engineers
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Minimum ONC or Equivalent Piping Engineering / Drafting
- Valid Offshore Certification (BOSIET / Medical / H2S / Swing transfer etc.)
Required Knowledge
- Detailed knowledge of offshore plant / facilities
- Piping detail engineering requirements
- Computerized drafting systems
- Aware of statutory Piping codes, specifications and guidelines
- Knowledge of Autocad 2D & 3D.
Required Competencies and Skills
- Ability to ensure drawings and documents are completed as per project schedule to applicable standards & offshore needs with consistently high quality
- Competent to respond to offshore queries and coordinate with offshore team for closure of installation queries
- Competently supervise Piping Designer(s); able to ensure junior designer(s) assigned to project execute assigned tasks in consistent manner.
