Senior Legal Counsel, Pharma, Dubai

Our client is a household name, global, listed, multinational healthcare company. With strong expansion plans in mind (both regions and products) they are now seeking an additional Senior Legal Counsel to be based in their Dubai office.

ROLE: Joining a strong and well supported team, you’ll cover GCC matters, ally closely with other lawyers across the region, either leading, or assisting with driving forward initiatives and projects. Examples of work will be developing best practice, overseeing juniors and business partnering. The role is very wide ranging and likely to be more operational than transaction focused.

CANDIDATE: There are some key criteria for strong candidates to fulfil:

You’ll need to be a qualified lawyer. This bit is important. Please don’t apply if you’re not.
As a Senior Legal Counsel, a likely level of PQE will be around 7+.
Ideally, you’ll come from a strong private practice background.
If this can be partnered with later work from a MNC environment, that’s ideal.
Your skill set should ideally be a general corporate and commercial one, but good candidates from broader or different backgrounds are invited to apply.
Sound, commercial decision making capability.
Excellent internal relationship building and business rapport.
It’s unlikely that candidates currently based outside the GCC will compete well against those already here.
