Job Profile The Bullion Operations Assistant Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of bullion trading, handling, storage, and transportation. This role ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements, maintains relationships with clients and vendors. Assistant manager will also work closely with teams within Treasury operations, finance, compliance, and risk management departments to ensure the secure and efficient handling of precious metals.Responsibility: Oversee the receipt, storage, and dispatch of bullion (gold, silver, platinum, etc.).Manage the daily operations of bullion vaults, ensuring security and efficiency which includes Validation of internal trades as per the source document, Support Counterparty Creation/Agreement in systems, settlement messages/release of cash.Coordinate with transportation providers for the secure transfer of bullion.Monitor and maintain inventory levels, ensuring accurate records and timely replenishments.Reconciliation of Stock by customer/custodian (Location wise End of day stock statement).Preparation of itemized invoices /Confirmations as listed below: Supplier & ENBD-Trade confirmation under ISDACustodian-Delivery note/release note corresponding to each transaction for incoming & outgoing metal.Airway bill & release note for international shipments Compliance and Security: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including anti-money laundering (AML) and know your customer (KYC) requirements.Implement and oversee security protocols to protect bullion assets.Conduct regular audits and inspections of bullion holdings and processes. Client and Vendor Relations: Maintain strong relationships with clients, providing high levels of service and resolving any issues.Negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors, including security and transportation services. Reporting and Analysis: Prepare regular reports on bullion operations, including inventory levels, security incidents, and compliance matters.Analyze operational data to identify areas for improvement and implement changes. Qualifications: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in finance, business administration, logistics, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in bullion or precious metals operations, with at least 2 years in a team leader role.Strong understanding of regulatory requirements related to bullion handling and trading.Excellent organizational and leadership skills.Proficiency in inventory management software and MS Office Suite.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Preferred Qualifications: Professional certification in supply chain management or security /ACI/ Bullion certificationExperience with international bullion trading and logistics.Familiarity with risk management practices in the precious metals industry. Work Environment: The role is typically based in an office setting with regular visits to bullion vaults and storage facilities.May require occasional travel to meet with clients, vendors, and regulatory authorities.
