The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the organization’s network infrastructure. This role requires advanced technical knowledge and experience in network architecture and protocols, as well as strong problem-solving and communication skills.ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement, and maintain the organization’s local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) infrastructure.Configure and manage network equipment, such as routers, switches, and firewalls.Monitor network performance and troubleshoot network issues.Implement and enforce network security measures and protocols.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure network infrastructure meets business requirements.Evaluate and recommend network hardware and software solutions.Create and maintain network documentation, including network diagrams and configuration files.Provide technical support and mentoring to junior network engineers.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Proven experience as a network engineer or in a similar role.In-depth knowledge of network protocols, architectures, and technologies.Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices.Experience with network monitoring tools and equipment.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Certifications, such as Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or Juniper Networks Certified Internet Specialist (JNCIS), are preferred.
