The Procurement Specialist is responsible for procuring goods and services needed by a company to operate effectively. This role involves sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing relationships with vendors. The Procurement Specialist must have strong analytical and negotiation skills, as well as a solid understanding of procurement processes.ResponsibilitiesIdentify and source suppliers for goods and services.Conduct supplier evaluations and select vendors based on quality, price, and reliability.Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to secure the best deals.Collaborate with internal teams, such as production and operations, to determine procurement requirements.Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.Monitor and manage supplier performance to ensure compliance with contracts and quality standards.Analyze and optimize procurement processes to drive cost savings and efficiency.Collaborate with internal stakeholders to forecast demand and plan procurement activities.Utilize procurement software and systems to manage procurement activities and maintain accurate records.Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulations in procurement.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field.Proven experience in procurement or a similar role.Strong knowledge of procurement principles, processes, and regulations.Excellent analytical and negotiation skills.Proficient in using procurement software and systems.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy.Strong organizational and time management abilities.Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
