The IT Disaster Recovery Specialist is responsible for developing and implementing strategies and plans to ensure the availability and recoverability of IT systems and data in the event of a disaster or disruption. They work closely with other IT teams to identify critical systems, define recovery objectives, and develop recovery processes. The specialist also conducts regular tests and exercises to validate the effectiveness of the disaster recovery plans.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain IT disaster recovery strategies and plans.Identify critical systems and define recovery objectives.Collaborate with other IT teams to develop recovery processes and procedures.Conduct regular tests and exercises to validate the effectiveness of the plans.Manage relationships with external disaster recovery service providers.Monitor and report on the status of disaster recovery preparedness.Provide guidance and support during disaster recovery incidents.Continuously improve the disaster recovery processes and plans.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT disaster recovery.Strong knowledge of disaster recovery best practices and technologies.Experience in developing and implementing disaster recovery plans.Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
