They collaborate with architects, contractors, and engineers to ensure optimal indoor air quality and thermal comfort for residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. Their role involves conducting inspections, preparing cost estimates, and supervising HVAC system installations.ResponsibilitiesDesign HVAC systems based on project requirements, codes, and standards.Calculate heating and cooling loads to determine equipment sizing.Select and specify HVAC equipment and components.Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and installation instructions.Collaborate with architects and contractors to integrate HVAC systems into building designs.Conduct feasibility studies and energy efficiency evaluations for HVAC systems.Oversee the installation, commissioning, and startup of HVAC systems.Troubleshoot and resolve HVAC system issues and malfunctions.Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards.Provide technical support and training to maintenance teams and end-users.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.Proficiency in HVAC design software and computer-aided design tools.Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, equipment, and components.Familiarity with building codes, regulations, and environmental standards.Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
