The Healthcare Nutrition Specialist (HNS) is responsible for assessing patients’ nutritional needs, developing individualized nutrition plans, and monitoring their progress. They collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure proper nutrition and support overall healthcare goals. Additionally, they educate patients and provide nutrition counseling and support.ResponsibilitiesAssess patients’ nutritional needs and evaluate their dietary habits.Develop personalized nutrition plans based on medical conditions, allergies, and lifestyle factors.Monitor patients’ progress and make adjustments to nutrition plans as needed.Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure proper nutrition.Provide nutritional education and counseling to patients and their families.Stay updated with nutritional research and guidelines.Conduct nutrition assessments and screenings.Maintain accurate and updated patient records.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field.Registered Dietitian Nutritionist certification.Proven experience in clinical nutrition or a similar healthcare setting.Strong knowledge of nutritional assessment and dietary guidelines.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
