The Fire Design and Estimation Engineer is responsible for designing fire protection systems for buildings and estimating the cost of implementing these systems. They design fire sprinkler systems, fire alarm systems, and other fire protection systems based on codes, standards, and client requirements. The Fire Design and Estimation Engineer also prepares project estimates and proposals.ResponsibilitiesDesign fire sprinkler systems, fire alarm systems, and other fire protection systems.Perform hydraulic calculations to determine the water supply requirements.Prepare detailed drawings and specifications for fire protection systems.Estimate the cost of materials and labor for fire protection projects.Evaluate and select appropriate fire protection equipment.Collaborate with architects, engineers, and clients to ensure compliance with regulations and client needs.Prepare project schedules and manage project timelines.Conduct site visits to assess existing fire protection systems.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in fire protection engineering or a related field.Minimum of 3 years of experience in fire protection system design and estimation.Knowledge of fire codes, standards, and regulations.Proficiency in fire protection design software.Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
