The Contracts Engineer is responsible for managing the contractual aspects of projects, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions. They review and negotiate contracts, identify and mitigate potential risks, and prepare contractual documentation. The Contracts Engineer also collaborate with project teams, vendors, and clients to address contractual issues and resolve disputes. They ensure that contracts are properly implemented and that all parties fulfill their contractual obligations.ResponsibilitiesReview and analyze contracts, identifying potential risks and contract requirements.Negotiate and finalize contract terms and conditions with clients, vendors, and subcontractors.Prepare and maintain accurate documentation of all contractual agreements and amendments.Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and deliverables.Collaborate with project teams to ensure alignment between project scope, milestones, and contractual requirements.Address and resolve contractual issues, claims, and disputes with stakeholders.Monitor contract performance and progress, initiating necessary actions to ensure adherence to terms.Recommend improvements to contract policies, procedures, and templates.Stay updated on contract laws, regulations, and industry best practices.Provide guidance and support to project teams on contractual matters.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.Proven experience in contract management or engineering project management.Strong understanding of contract law and principles.Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills.Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously.
