If you are passionate about creating sustainable solutions for managing water on construction sites, we welcome your application.ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement drainage systems for construction projects, ensuring compliance with local regulations and safety standards.Conduct site surveys and assessments to determine optimal drainage solutions based on soil conditions and topography.Develop construction plans and detailed drawings for drainage systems, including pipe layouts, culverts, and retention ponds.Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other engineers to integrate drainage designs into overall project plans.Perform hydraulic calculations to ensure proper sizing of pipes and structures to effectively manage stormwater runoff.Prepare cost estimates and budgets for drainage system installation, and monitor project expenses to ensure adherence to financial constraints.Supervise construction activities related to drainage systems, including coordinating with contractors and conducting quality assurance inspections.Conduct periodic inspections of completed drainage systems to assess performance and identify potential maintenance needs or system improvements.Stay informed about advances in drainage technology and best practices, and incorporate new developments into project designs and implementations.Provide technical expertise and guidance on drainage issues to project teams and stakeholders, and address any related concerns or inquiries.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.5+ years of experience in construction engineering, with a focus on drainage systems.Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.Strong knowledge of local building codes and regulations related to drainage.Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant engineering software.
