The BIM Manager will be responsible for overseeing the implementation and management of Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology on construction projects. This role requires a deep understanding of BIM software, processes, and technologies to enhance collaboration, efficiency, and accuracy throughout the project lifecycle. The BIM Manager will lead and coordinate BIM teams, establish standards, develop BIM execution plans, and ensure the quality of BIM models and data. Additionally, they will work closely with project managers, designers, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate BIM into project workflows. The ideal candidate will have a background in architecture, engineering, or construction, with strong technical skills and proven experience in BIM implementation. Strong communication and leadership skills are essential for this role to effectively drive BIM initiatives and ensure successful project outcomes.ResponsibilitiesOversee the implementation and utilization of Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes and technologies within the organization.Develop and maintain BIM standards, protocols, and guidelines for project teams to follow.Collaborate with internal departments to ensure effective BIM coordination and communication.Provide BIM training and support to staff members to enhance their skills and capabilities.Manage BIM modeling, clash detection, and resolution processes to ensure project efficiency and quality.Monitor BIM project progress and ensure adherence to established timelines and budget constraints.Coordinate with external stakeholders, such as clients, consultants, and contractors, to facilitate BIM integration and collaboration.Stay current with industry trends and advancements in BIM technology to continually improve processes and outcomes.Lead BIM coordination meetings and facilitate interdisciplinary coordination to resolve conflicts and ensure project alignment.Drive innovation and continuous improvement initiatives related to BIM practices within the organization.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related fieldProfessional certification in Building Information Modeling (BIM) such as Autodesk Certified Professional or similarMinimum of 5 years of experience working with BIM software such as Revit, AutoCAD, or NavisworksStrong understanding of construction processes and coordination among various disciplinesExcellent communication and leadership skills to effectively manage BIM projects and teams
