As an Associate Service Engineer specializing in Fire Systems, you will be responsible for supporting the installation, maintenance, and repair of fire safety equipment and systems. Your role will involve conducting routine inspections, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and safety standards. You will work closely with senior engineers to design and implement fire protection solutions for various buildings and facilities. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the safety and security of properties and people through the efficient management of fire systems.ResponsibilitiesConduct inspections, testing, and maintenance of fire alarm and suppression systems in accordance with industry standards and regulations.Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with fire system components, including control panels, detectors, and notification devices.Install, repair, and replace fire system equipment as needed to ensure proper functionality.Collaborate with project managers and engineers to design and implement fire protection solutions for new construction projects.Provide on-site technical support to customers and end-users for fire system installations and upgrades.Document all service activities, including findings, recommendations, and solutions, in detailed reports.Participate in training programs to stay current on new technologies and industry best practices related to fire protection systems.Assist in conducting fire safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance with local, state, and national fire codes.Respond to emergency service calls and coordinate with emergency responders during fire incidents.Maintain inventory of spare parts, tools, and equipment needed for servicing and repairing fire systems.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related fieldCertification in fire safety systems or relevant technologyStrong understanding of fire detection and suppression systemsAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and schematicsPrior experience in a similar role preferred
