JOB DESCRIPTION
- Conduct and document weekly review of CCTV system to ensure full functionality of cameras and recording equipment
- Conduct and document weekly alarm system testing including all panic alarm buttons, pesdestrian doors and other 24hour points
- Develop and enforce security policies, protocols and procedures
- Attend staff meetings and report security concerns to local management
- Identity, investigate and resolve security issues
- Ensure company and customer security policies are followed
- Provide annual security training to facility employees
- Conduct regular audits of security systems and maintain records to comply with audit requirements
- Other duties as assigned
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor degree or GED required. Former law enforcement experience is a plus
- Proven experiance as a security manager or similar positions
- Experiance with the administration of CCTV, access control and intrusion detection systems
- In depth knowledge of security protocols and procedures
- Supply chain and logistics/transportation industry experiance
- Strong organiztional and leadership skills while exhibiting commitement and reliability

About the Role
How you will contribute
- Responsibility for all aspects of Site security within the assigned Region, including site security process (security of product, building, equipment and company property), uniformed guarding, security equipment and remote guarding.
- Support the Business Development Function including management of quotations & material requirements within the Category for New Business Quotes, as well as Provision and maintenance of Standard Costing Templates.
- Design, implement and maintain an ongoing site audit program that holds Site Management and Security providers accountable for maintaining process and procedure to required levels. Escalate risk to Regional Presidents in a timely and concise manner, when required.
- Take overall responsibility for coordinating the company’s response to any theft or breach of security in a cross functional manner, (i.e. linking police, internal Operations, external Security providers and the company’s insurance function).
- Provide specifications and requirements to the Purchasing department, as and when required, to source security services and equipment. Maintain excellent security provider relations to ensure a reliable, competitive key supplier base. Maintain ongoing and recorded Supplier Performance Reviews and KPIs with security providers.
- Partner with the Regional Health and Safety Manager to ensure seamless communication with the sites.
- Maintain relationships with regional law enforcement bodies to benefit from local crime intelligence. Ensure compliance with all state and federal legislative requirements within the security function. Direct regional compliance to security policies and procedures measured through an effective site audit program.
- Minimize the risk to the company of theft of customer product or company/customer property.
- Maintain good relations with internal Operational Management, in order to provide adequate support.

Your Key Qualifications
- Experience in similar or related role.
- Knowledge and experience within a security field (perhaps police or military).
- Ability to interact with personnel at all levels internally and externally.
- Proficiency with audit and risk assessment functions.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills including written and oral to deal with a wide range of customers both internal and external.
- Ability to travel 25%-45%.
